Our Founder’s Story
I heard a statistic a few years ago that I couldn’t unhear.
It was this: “It takes up to 800 years to decompose a tampon”.
I couldn’t get over how much plastic pollution I had dumped on the planet in all my years of menstruation since I was 12.
As an eco-conscious adult, I knew the only way I could undo this damage would be to help millions of women switch to period pants instead. I had tried period pants before and loved their functionality but had never found a brand that made me feel sexy. I realised there was a huge gap in the market for seamless, stunning leakproof underwear - not just for periods but the kind of everyday underwear a woman would want to wear under tight clothes or to the gym. Let’s be honest, even the phrase “period pants” conjures up unattractive and unsexy connotations, which is why I created the term Pro Flo pants.
Annahitah Pro Flo underwear supports women through all the ebbs and flows of their lives. As a mother who has given birth naturally 4 times, I know only too well the unpredictability of leakages during daily life. My brand was created to help all females in their different stages of womanity, whilst making them feel feminine and alluring.
Anahita was the ancient Persian goddess of fertility and love and with 50% Persian heritage running through my veins, I wanted to honour this in the creation of the Annahitah brand.
We are all one and we must protect each other and our planet. I believe in the power of our divinity as a powerful female collective and my goal is to help you find your inner wisdom to embrace your feminine energy. Annahitah will unveil the goddess within you, whilst enabling you to personally reduce your carbon footprint on Planet Earth.
